🍓 In our Food, Family, and Society class last week, each group of students picked what they thought was the "Perfect Food!"
🥧 Students shared their choices and explained why. The picks included chicken alfredo, chocolate-covered strawberries, chicken Caesar salad, and apple pie! Everyone did a fantastic job!

👶 In Mrs. Daubner's Parenting class, students got to experience what it's like to care for RealCare (fake) babies. Each student took a baby home for an entire weekend. If the baby started fussing, they had two minutes to figure out what it needed—whether it was a burp, rocking, a diaper change, or feeding. After returning the babies to class, a report was downloaded to see how well each student did, and they were graded accordingly.
Students also wrote reflections about what they learned from the experience.

🙌 This week's Kindergarten Family Night #2 was a success!
👻 The little ones had a blast with a fun sensory pumpkin project, created spooky Halloween crafts, and enjoyed a variety of activities.

⚙️ Mrs. Keyes' Food Service class is currently exploring their Equipment Unit. Students are learning about various kitchen tools, including their usage, safety, maintenance, and proper cleaning techniques.
🙌 Recently, they experimented with the deep fryer to create mozzarella sticks and beignets, and used the microwave to make omelets and muffins in a mug!

🏕️ 16 students from BMS embarked on an unforgettable week-long camping trip to Grand Island, MI. The experience was amazing!
🥾 The students enjoyed scenic walks and breathtaking sightseeing, creating memories that will last a lifetime. When asked about their adventure, they said they'd "definitely do it again!"

🇺🇸 Join us in honoring and expressing gratitude to the courageous men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces this Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11.
⭐ The day will begin with a complimentary breakfast for service members and their families in the BHS commons. Following breakfast, we will gather in the gymnasium to celebrate their patriotism, service, and sacrifice.

🍌 In the kitchen, our students have been getting creative and making delicious treats. They turned super ripe bananas into banana bread donuts!
🥣 They also whipped up roasted chickpeas, overnight oatmeal, and a variety of hummus flavors.
🍴 By preparing their own food, students are discovering that homemade dishes can be healthier, with fewer preservatives, artificial flavors, and other additives. It's been a fun and educational experience for everyone!
