👟 Get ready to put your best foot forward! The Clay PTO is excited to announce our Walk-a-Thon fundraiser on Tuesday, May 6th, dedicated to promoting wellness and fun!
Important Dates:
🔹 Informational & Pledge Sheets: Students will receive these on Thursday, April 18th.
🔹 Fundraising Deadline: Students will have until Tuesday, May 6th to gather pledges and raise funds.
🔹 Walk-a-Thon Day: On May 6th, all classes will hit the track during their assigned 45-minute slots. Every student will participate, regardless of whether they raised money. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together and have fun!
🚶♀️ We Need Volunteers!
PTO members and adult volunteers will be on the track to cheer on our young walkers. If you're interested in helping, please check the informational sheet sent home and RSVP to ptopresident@berlin.k12.wi.us. No need for a volunteer form! Just check in at the office with your driver’s license before heading to the track.

In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the Walk-a-Thon for Wednesday, May 8th.

⚬ Recently, in Mrs. Rilling's class, students collaborated to invent their own mechanisms designed to test how far a marble could roll. The children did an outstanding job, and the project was an enjoyable experience that engaged the entire classroom! ⚬




🎶 The 2025 BHS Songwriting Contest, proudly sponsored by the Wordsmiths of Berlin and the BHS music department, has concluded!
👏 We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners, Connor Emerson and Ewan Steffen! They are joined in the photo by WoB advisor Andy Reise, choir teacher Abbe Lane, and band teacher Ben Ruetten. Their exceptional song, titled "Colorblind," secured them the first prize of $45, with each winner receiving $22.50. Outstanding work, and congratulations!

📗 Yesterday, BHS's very own Emelia Beulen, a talented member of the Wordsmiths of Berlin, brought her passion for poetry to the Boys and Girls Club!
✍️ In celebration of April as Poetry Month, Emelia led a fantastic introduction to poetry followed by a fun writing activity with three different age groups. The students were fully engaged and produced some incredible work!
📒 Emelia also invited all the children to join next Tuesday's Coffee Shop Poetry event at AJ's Riverside. Everyone is welcome to come and share in the joy of poetry!

✨ Yesterday, the Wordsmiths of Berlin hosted the 2025 Perspectives Banquet at On Broadway!
✍️ Students from neighboring districts, including Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Plymouth, Ripon, Waupun, and Winneconne, participated in this special event. Perspectives is the creative writing publication for high school students within the East Central Conference.
📖 Several talented students bravely shared their poems in front of an appreciative audience, showcasing their work featured in the publication. Each student delivered an outstanding performance, making it a truly memorable event.
😊 A heartfelt thank you goes to Mastricola's on Broadway for their delicious food and excellent service.
