4K - 8th Grade Information

Open to all BASD students, homeschoolers, private school students, and incoming 4K kiddos, summer school is more than just learning—it’s a chance to grow, explore, and have fun along the way! Our program offers engaging classes, hands-on activities, and a supportive environment where students can build skills, gain confidence, and stay connected. Whether your child wants to get ahead, catch up, or try something new, summer school is the perfect place to learn and thrive!




IMPORTANT:
Online registration will be available in PowerSchool from April 6th 8:00 AM - April 24th 4:00 PM.
If you don’t have PowerSchool Parent Portal login credentials or cannot access any of your children in the portal, you will need to complete the Online New Student Enrollment Form. This separate portal allows parents to submit a form that notifies the public school to activate or re-activate a student. Once submitted, you will receive your Parent Portal login credentials by email so you can complete course selections.

Students Entering 4K - 5th Grade
Schedule:
8:00 AM - 8:25 AM Arrival & Breakfast
8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Classes
11:35 AM - 12:00 AM Lunch
Noon Dismissal
Meals: Free breakfast and free lunch included
Transportation: Summer school transportation will follow the same bussing eligibility that is in place during the school year. If you qualify for bussing please fill out the form at this link, and return it to Northern Express (dholmes@northernexpressbus.com) no later than May 20th. Any request received after May 20th will be denied. If you have questions about transportation please contact Northern Express: (920) 361-2877.
Northern Express will contact via email starting June 1st, about bus route information if you have turned in a form. If you don’t hear from them by June 3rd, please call the number above.
Clay Lamberton Pick-up and Drop-off Information:
Students not riding the bus have the option to walk, or be dropped off and picked up at Door 2.
Boys & Girls Club:
Transportation will be provided to the Club each day. Registration is now open for club activities, check out their website to learn more at https://bgctric.org/summer/. Fees may apply; scholarships are always available.
Class Information
Classes will run from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM. If your child will not be eating breakfast or lunch, and you are driving them, please contact the school so we are aware of a different arrival and departure time.
Students entering 4K:
Students will stay with their teacher throughout the morning.

Students will receive literacy instruction, math instruction, and choose one elective each week.

Morning Routine
All students should be dropped off on the east side of the building (typical school day drop off), to enter in through door G at the back of BHS. Students riding the bus will also enter through door G. There will be no supervision prior to 8:00 AM if students arrive early. Students entering 6th grade should also enter through door G of Berlin High School (door in the back of the building leading into the commons).
