🎶 This past weekend's Solo & Ensemble Festival at Berlin High School was truly remarkable! Students from both the high school and middle school showcased their exceptional talents and hard work. Each performance was outstanding, reflecting the dedication of our young musicians. 🎼 The BHS music department is proud to announce that 21 events will advance to the State Solo and Ensemble Festival at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the end of April! Additionally, two students from BMS will also be representing us at the State level, Sarah Majeske and Cora Sawallish! 🎵 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff, parents, and community volunteers whose support was instrumental in making the festival a success. Your efforts ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved! 👏 Congratulations to all our students! We are incredibly proud of your achievements!

🎉 Celebrating Public Schools Week! 📚 Public Schools Week is an exciting annual celebration that shines a spotlight on the incredible achievements happening every day in our public schools! It’s a fantastic chance to express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated educators and to emphasize the value of a high-quality public education. This event, led by the National School Boards Association alongside numerous organizations and partners nationwide, brings joy and recognition to communities across Wisconsin and beyond!

❤️ Happy Heart Month! We are excited to share that the Berlin Area School District is officially recertified as a Heart Safe School! ❤️ Thanks to our partnership with Project ADAM (Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory), we have successfully renewed our Heart Safe School status. This amazing program, run by Children’s Wisconsin and the Herma Heart Institute, is dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac death through a comprehensive plan. Here’s what we’re doing: • Placing AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in our school buildings. • Forming a cardiac emergency response team. • Conducting AED drills to prepare for emergencies. • Educating our staff on how to recognize warning signs and implement prevention strategies. AEDs are easy to use and allow anyone, even those without medical training, to provide quick defibrillation to individuals of all ages. ❤️ By empowering our schools and communities, Project ADAM not only saves lives but also boosts our readiness for sudden cardiac arrest situations. This initiative is a tribute to Adam Lemel, a 17-year-old who sadly lost his life while playing basketball at school. Project ADAM is making a difference in schools across the nation, reinforcing the cardiac chain of survival. We extend our sincere appreciation to ThedaCare Orthopedics for their continuous support of our CPR/AED education program! ❤️ Let’s celebrate Heart Month together and continue to promote heart health and safety in our school community!

🎉 We are thrilled to announce that the Project Lead the Way Department has received an amazing grant from the Webster's Foundation! This generous support will help us host a fun-filled Family STEAM Night, where families can come together to dive into the thrilling worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations. ⚙️ Thanks to the Webster's Foundation, we'll be able to provide all the materials and supplies needed for these exciting activities, as well as a delicious dinner for everyone. This event is a fantastic opportunity for Berlin Middle School to showcase our dedication to STEAM education and encourage parents and kids to work together, learn new things, and explore the wonders of these fields. 😊 We can't wait to see how this event will spark creativity and inspire our future innovators and problem solvers. 🚌 Celebrating School Bus Driver Appreciation Week in Wisconsin! 🎒 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all school bus drivers for their unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of our students every day. Your dedication to safely transport them to and from school is invaluable. 🏫 The significant role you play does not go unnoticed by our district, families, and community. 🫶 We appreciate you every single day!

📢 Get ready for, Bison Bonanza! All middle school students are invited to participate. 🕺 We welcome a variety of performances, including comedy, dance, instrumental, vocal, and more. 🎤 Auditions will take place in the choir room after school during the week of February 24th-28th. Last Friday, the BMS Sources of Strength team held an exciting assembly full of energy and fun! 🎉 Members of Sources of Strength shared what the organization is all about and how it helps build a strong community at BMS. This year, they’ve been busy organizing our monthly homeroom competitions, where the champions get to take home the awesome ‘Golden Bison’ trophy! 🏆 For this month's competition, homerooms went head-to-head in a super fun game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos! Everyone had a blast, and it was the perfect way to celebrate the end of January and kick off the weekend! 🌟 Stay tuned for more exciting events from Sources of Strength!

📚 Today marks the beginning of National School Counseling Week, a time dedicated to raising public awareness about the vital role of school counselors and their unwavering support for students throughout our district. 🫶 We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our counselors for their commitment to our students and the positive influence they have on our students, families, and staff every day. ⚾ Warmer weather means it’s time to think about America’s favorite pastime! Registration for Summer Berlin Youth Baseball/Softball is officially open from January 27 to February 28! 🥎 Our organization is dedicated to promoting and developing baseball and softball programs for young athletes from 4K to 9th grade. We focus on building a solid foundation of skills while ensuring that every player enjoys the thrill of the game! 📲 Don’t miss out!
