⭐ The day will begin with a complimentary breakfast for service members and their families in the BHS commons. Following breakfast, we will gather in the gymnasium to celebrate their patriotism, service, and sacrifice.
❤️ We look forward to seeing you at this meaningful event.

🍌 In the kitchen, our students have been getting creative and making delicious treats. They turned super ripe bananas into banana bread donuts!
🥣 They also whipped up roasted chickpeas, overnight oatmeal, and a variety of hummus flavors.
🍴 By preparing their own food, students are discovering that homemade dishes can be healthier, with fewer preservatives, artificial flavors, and other additives. It's been a fun and educational experience for everyone!

🫶 We are deeply appreciative of every individual who helps ensure the safety of our children during their daily commutes to and from school.
🎒 Please help keep our children SAFE by following these helpful school bus safety tips:
🟡 Yellow lights, slow down: Yellow lights on a school bus indicate the bus is preparing to stop. If you're driving, slow down, stay alert, and watch out for children.
🛑 Stop for the stop-arm: When you see the school bus stop-arm extended, it's time to stop. Racing past the arm puts young lives in jeopardy.
🚗 Slow down during school hours: School is in session, which means more children are outside waiting for the bus during certain hours. Slow down and watch for children playing and gathering near the bus stop.
🚸 Bus stop safety tips for children:
• Arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes early.
• Stand 5 giant steps away from the curb.
• Wait until the bus stops, the door opens, and the driver says it's okay before stepping onto the bus.
• Make sure the bus driver can always see you, and you can see the bus driver.
🚌 School Bus Drivers
• Stay alert, stay engaged: The greatest risk to a child isn't riding a school bus, but approaching or leaving one. Please continue to help keep them safe! We appreciate you!

🍂 Friendly Reminder: There will be no school for students in the Berlin Area School District on Wednesday, October 22.

👩💼 Teachers and staff jumped in to support the effort, supplying materials and thoughtful questions to guide the students. This unit is designed to gear them up for the workforce, giving them invaluable practice as they transition into young adults.
💯 Each student was evaluated and scored, and the results were great! Well done, students!

✍️ Right now, they are working on a project to make beautiful portraits with ebony pencils.
🎨 Next up, painting unit!

🩺 This honor was earned by creating a strong athletic health care system. This includes providing physical exams before participation, ensuring safe practice areas, and keeping athletic equipment in good condition. The school also has a specific place for checking and treating injuries, works on ways to prevent injuries, helps with injury care, and develops emergency plans for each venue. Additionally, athletes and parents are educated about the benefits and risks of sports.
❤️ We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Melissa (MJ) Johnston, LAT, FMT, ITAT, our Athletic Trainer from ThedaCare Medical Center, who dedicates countless hours to ensuring our student athletes' safety. We are also very grateful for the funding for this award, generously provided by ThedaCare Orthopedics.
🫶 A sincere thank you to the National Athletic Trainers' Association for this honor; we are truly honored!
