🔪🎨 BHS Food for Living students are sharpening their kitchen skills, starting with Play-Doh! They did a great job practicing their knife techniques before putting those skills to work with real ingredients.
Their creations looked great, but we’ll pass on the taste test. 😅

🦘🐢 Our second graders kicked off the school year with a trip to the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison!
They learned about a variety of animals, enjoyed lunch outdoors, and made plenty of memories with their classmates. 😊

🕰️ Berlin’s seventh graders took a trip back in time on Friday!
📜 Students in Geography and ELA visited the Berlin Historical Society to kick off their History of Berlin unit. They explored old documents and artifacts, learned about our community’s past, and found topics they’re excited to investigate further.
In October, they’ll share what they discover at a History of Berlin Live Museum for the community. Stay tuned for details!

Mrs. Daubner’s high school Parenting class is teaming up with Mrs. Goettl’s second graders for some special time together.
Students spent time getting to know one another, reading stories, playing cards and games, and sharing lots of smiles along the way.
For our high schoolers, it’s a chance to practice patience, responsibility, and kindness. For our second graders, it’s an opportunity to learn from and look up to some pretty awesome role models!
We love seeing connections like these happening across our schools! 📚💚

Camila is a Berlin High School senior and serves as Co-President of BHS Student Council. She also enjoys writing articles for The Red ‘N’ Green. Outside of school, she stays busy with cheerleading, working at Christianos, lifeguarding at the YMCA, and spending time with her friends and her dog, Max. 🐾
Through her Youth Apprenticeship, Camila is excited to gain hands-on experience in education, work alongside teachers and students, and learn more about what a career in education looks like. Her long-term goal is to become a principal someday! 📚
