On May 7th the 2025 class of the C. R. Wolf Chapter of the National Honor Society cleaned up a stretch of Highway 49 for the Adopt A Highway program. This is the inaugural year of this new project for the BHS National Honor Society chapter. Approximately 17 full bags of trash were collected with some of the crew even befriending a turkey!

BHS and BMS students had a great day at Friendship Day yesterday! Each student was able to participate in track and field events throughout the day. We had so much fun and our students even took 1st place in some of the running events! Safe to say it was truly one of the best days of the school year! On Saturday, May 10th the Berlin FFA is holding their annual Mother's Day plant sale at the Berlin High School greenhouse on the southwest side of the high school. The doors open at 9:00 a.m. and close when plants have been sold or no later than 12:00 noon. Come early to not miss out! We accept cash, card, and checks. We hope to see you there to support our students who planted and cared for these beautiful plants.

BASD Summer School registration is open and will remain open until Monday, May 19th at 4:00 p.m. for BASD students as well as school-age students who live in the BASD boundaries who attend private school, home school, or other school districts. It is also available for incoming 4K students. Today is School Communicators Day, which is celebrated by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) each year. We would like to recognize Allison Gohlke, our BASD Communication Specialist who works diligently to support the BASD website, social media feeds, and so much more, all in service of getting out the good word about our students, staff, families, and community. On Monday night the Berlin Middle School and High School Vocal Music Department presented the Spring Choral Concert, let by Directors Abbe Lane and Maggie Grewal and accompanied on piano by Jessica Fritz. All four choirs performed separately and ended with a combined middle and high school chorus. It was fantastic concert with so many talented student.
