Strategic Plan
The District Strategic Plan was created during the 2020-21 school year with input from a wide range of local stakeholders including students, teachers, support staff, administrators, school board members, families, and community members. The Strategic Plan was formally approved by the BASD Board of Education on October 28th, 2021. The Strategic Plan is a five year plan that defines school district core beliefs and values, areas of focus, implementation strategies, and key performance objectives.
District Strategic Plan vs. School Continuous Improvement Plan
A District Strategic Plan is a multi-year plan that identifies the vision, mission, values, and beliefs of the school district and community regarding the education of every child. This plan is intended to be visionary and focused on long-range goals. The District Strategic Plan assists schools in aligning their continuous improvement efforts with the goals and focus of the school board, superintendent, and community.
A School Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) is a school level plan created annually by the school principals, leadership teams, and staff with a focus on improving student outcomes. The CIP is a short-range plan that includes measurable goals and objectives with specific action items, based on the individual needs of each school. The school level CIP is evaluated throughout the school year and updated annually.
