What an incredible day for our very own Thomas McCarthy at the WIAA Division 2 State Cross Country Championships! Thomas raced to an impressive second place overall, clocking in at 15:53 with a remarkable pace of 5:07 per mile! He finished less than eight seconds behind the state champion, standing out among 150 competitors.
Audrey Shattuck led the Lady Indians with a fantastic 25th place, finishing at 19:52 and helping the team secure seventh place among 16 qualifying teams from eight sectionals. In a strong showing for Berlin, Katera Hartzke took 62nd with a time of 20:38, followed by Aubrey Kurczek in 75th at 20:55. Abby Shattuck finished 92nd at 21:21, Alyssa Kujawa 94th at 21:24, Ashley Dretske 107th at 21:45, and Ashlyn Strebelinski 140th at 22:48.
