Welcome to Berlin Middle School!

My name is Samantha Behnke, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Berlin Middle School. I am excited to join the BMS community and partner with our students, families, and staff to create a great middle school experience for every child. 

This year marks my third year as a principal and my twelfth year in education. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, middle school literacy teacher, instructional coach, and administrator. Each of these experiences has strengthened my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and a commitment to continuous growth are the foundation of a successful school. I am passionate about supporting both students and staff as learners and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, challenged, and connected. 

My husband and I are the proud parents of two daughters who keep life full of laughter and adventure. As both a parent and educator, I understand the trust families place in schools each day. That perspective shapes every decision I make and reinforces my commitment to ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and excited to come to school. 

At Berlin Middle School, we are committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Middle school is a unique and important chapter in a child's life, and we believe it should be filled with opportunities to discover interests, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and prepare for future success. Our dedicated staff works hard to provide engaging learning experiences while fostering a culture built on respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance.
