• Drama Club (Masque)

The Drama Club aims to educate students through performances, allowing them to create and act in skits on diverse topics. We also organize the annual BHS talent show and aim to attend at least one professional performance each school year. Membership is open to all students.

• Encore! Classical A Capella Ensemble

Auditions occur in the first three weeks of school, and selected members rehearse one to three times a week during lunch. Performances include the National Anthem, holiday community events, Solo & Ensemble, and all choir concerts.

Only students in regular choir can audition, as this is the advanced group, limited to 20 members. The repertoire consists mostly of a cappella music, and singers must demonstrate excellent pitch, sight-reading skills, and the ability to practice independently.

• AcaVox - Contemporary A Capella Ensemble

Students must be part of a regular choral group to audition. Open to all levels, we seek strong, in-tune singers with expressive performance skills. AcaVox, comprising about 15 voices, performs contemporary a cappella, including vocal percussion. Performances span Solo & Ensemble, community events, and a finale with the show choir in late May or early June.

• Fall Musical

Students are cast based on auditions and work from professional scripts to learn lines and music. Roles vary from lead characters to supporting parts, including choreography. Students can also participate in the pit orchestra or assist with sound, lighting, and stage management, collaborating to create a polished performance.

• Jazz Ensemble

The Jazz Ensemble performs at concerts, private events, and jazz festivals, focusing on the open style of jazz. Participation requires enrollment in the high school band, subject to Director approval.

• Spring Play

The BHS Spring Play invites students to act and learn stage management and prop handling, offering a comprehensive theater experience.

• SOUNDWAVE Show Choir

This group combines singing and dancing, performing pop and Broadway music, often with instrumental accompaniment. They also perform a cappella. Auditions require membership in a regular choral group. We seek strong singers and dancers, with approximately 30 members in total. Performances include Solo & Ensemble, community events, and a two-hour finale at the end of the year.
