Welcome to the Berlin High School Library Media Center (LMC)!
Berlin Area School District Library Media Vision Statement:
It is our vision that the Library Media Center will provide an educational function designed to further the intellectual, social, and emotional development of the students, staff, and community. Our resources will be utilized by students, staff, and the community to acquire the information and skills necessary to pursue lifelong learning and reading and to become effective users of information technology.
Library Hours
Monday - Friday
7:30 AM-3:40 PM (including lunch)

Depending upon student interest, we host a variety of student groups, including the BHS Battle of the Books Team, Manga Club, and Game Club. The LMC is also currently developing a makerspace area for student and staff use.
The LMC has an extensive collection of resources available to our students and staff members, including print and digital materials.
Students and staff members have access to several online databases including:
• Careers Internet Database
• Gale: Health and Wellness
• Gale in Context: Opposing Viewpoints
Swank K-12 streaming for classroom use (students have access only via a teacher-provided link)
Ancestry.com (students and staff have access inside our school building)
Fold3.com (Ancestry.com’s Military Database; students and staff have access inside our school building)
Newspapers.com (via Ancestry.com; students and staff has access inside our school building)
Password and login information for the above resources is available to our staff and students here.
Destiny, our online card catalog, can be accessed here. Students can access their Destiny accounts through their Classlinks homepage. Additional student library resources are located on the LMC Virtual Space on Canvas.
Chromebooks:
The LMC is the hub for BHS student chromebooks. Each student chromebook is checked out through Destiny. A limited number of loaner chromebooks are available for students on a daily basis. In the event that chromebook issues arise, students should bring their chromebooks to the LMC for troubleshooting help. If a student’s chromebook needs to be sent in for repair, that student will be provided with a loaner chromebook to use.
