RE:  East Central Conference Fall Sports Protocols

The Athletic Directors, Principals, and Superintendents of the East Central Conference for the upcoming fall sports seasons.  With the current COVID-19 pandemic, all parties have worked hard in creating protocols for all events - including those in which we are members of a different conference.  These protocols cover everything from pre-practice through competition experiences.  The protocols were created to fit the needs of each school district in the conference so as to provide uniformity between all locations, so expectations are clear and the same from event to event.

The biggest change to events this fall is the effect it will have on spectators.  With the idea to provide the best possible situation for our student-athletes and their families, there will be an attendance limit at events.  These limits are outlined below.  There will be NO GENERAL ADMISSION tickets sold or available.  Each athlete will be provided passes for the specific sport that will be distributed by their family.  This pass will provide you admission to the event.  If you do not have a pass, entry will not be allowed.

  • Outdoor Events - (Cross Country, Tennis, Boys Soccer, Cheerleading) - 4 tickets per participant.  Social distancing is to be maintained and Face Coverings are to be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.

  • Outdoor Events - (Football only - including Port Washington and Sheboygan Falls) - 4 tickets per participant.  Social distancing is to be maintained and Face Coverings are to be worn when social distancing cannot be maintained.

  • Indoor Events - (Volleyball) - 2 tickets per participant.  Due to the statewide face covering mandate, face coverings are REQUIRED.  Social distancing is to be maintained, as well.

  • Indoor Events - (Girls Swimming) - No fans.

While we are happy to provide the opportunity and experiences to our student-athletes, there are other portions of the events that will not be taking place.  There will be no designated student passes/student sections.  While we acknowledge their participation in the experience, at this time, size limits are being set for our events.  We hope to return to events with these great assets at some point during the 2020-21 school year while taking into account the recommendations from the state and local health departments

Sincerely,

ECC Athletic Directors, Principals, and Superintendents
