Welcome to Berlin!
We're glad to have you. We are proud of our growing reputation as a high-performing school district that encourages excellence in both our staff and our students. We hope you have a great educational experience here.
If you reside within the boundary of the Berlin Area School District please see the bottom of the page to enroll.
If you currently do not reside within the boundary of the Berlin Area School District but would like to attend please visit the Open Enrollment site of the Department of Public Instruction or call Teri Angle at the District office at 920-361-2004.
Have you just moved to the area and want to know more about Berlin? Check out the Community section on our website for helpful links that will help you explore the greater Berlin area.
When can I enroll?
Enrollments are completed at each building in which you have a child enrolling. Please call the appropriate school to make an appointment to register or visit during school hours 8-3:30 pm Monday through Friday according to the district calendar.
Things to bring?
- Original birth certificate for each student. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services provides information on requesting a birth certificate.
- Proof of residency which could be a utility bill, mortgage statement or offer to purchase. If you are not the lessee or home owner, proof of residency is still required along with a letter from the lessee or home owner stating you are residing there.
- Immunization Records if your child was born in Wisconsin and received immunizations in Wisconsin, they are most likely listed in the Wisconsin Immunization Registry. You can print off your child's immunization records as long as you have your child's social security number, Medicaid ID, or Health Care Member ID, first and last name, and birthday.
What about after school care?
The Berlin Area School District partners with the Boys and Girls Club of the Tri-County Area to provide after school care for its students. The Club website has more information about registration and fees.
What about sports and recreation opportunities?
Berlin's Parks and Recreation website and the Berlin Public Library have information about recreation opportunities for students, adults and families. Berlin also has a number of club sports and teams available which are not affiliated or endorsed by the school district but are open to all residents, including Bulldogs Football and Cheerleading, Berlin Barracudas Swim Team, Boys & Girls Club Soccer, and Berlin Youth Sports including Basketball (aka Backcourt Club), Baseball, Bulldogs, and Wrestling. If you are a representative of a Club sport and would like to be listed, please contact our Family & Community Partnership Coordinator Carrie McCarthy.
