The aim of Berlin Middle School is to provide each student with an opportunity to develop physically, socially, intellectually and emotionally at his or her own rate. The faculty and staff will guide students in problem solving and decision making in an attempt to help students face problems which may occur in life.

We recognize that each student needs individual attention depending on the circumstances that affect them, such as home, school community, peer groups and our democratic society. This will be accomplished by:

1. Providing opportunities for each student to develop basic skills.
2. Providing experiences in school that will serve to help students cope with life.
