Mission Statement
We believe that Berlin Elementary Schools will provide the best possible education for each pupil in school commensurate with resources. The best possible education will aim at developing each student toward maximum potential. To develop each student toward maximum potential requires that each teacher commit themselves to insure that learners:
  • acquire and apply the fundamental skills necessary to learning.
  • acquire a positive image and respect for himself/herself and an understanding, respect and concern for all human beings.
  • develop sound bodies and minds through education in physical and mental health.
  • form positive attitudes toward occupations/careers that enable them to respect the dignity of work.
  • understand and appreciate cultural diversity reflected in art, music, drama, and literary forms.
  • practice their roles, rights and responsibilities as members of a democratic society.
  • gain knowledge to enable them to deal with the quality of life and the question of survival through control of the physical environment.
