In September, a family survey was sent out through the school website, Facebook, and School Messenger to ask parents to provide feedback about the middle school conference format. 60% of responses indicated a preference for scheduled conference times in order to accommodate personal schedules (families with children in multiple buildings, families needing to attend at certain times, etc).
From now until October 18 at 8:00 AM, families can select time slots for their conferences by visiting www.tinyurl.com/BMS-Fall-Conferences. This link will also be posted on the school website, on Facebook, School Messenger, and a mailing. Once at the above link, families can click on a button for each teacher they would like to schedule. The button will open a Sign-Up Genius page for that teacher where families can select an available 10-minute slot, and families will receive a confirmation email.
For families without internet or email access or who need assistance with the sign-up process, please contact the main office at 361-2441 and ask for support with conference sign up. On the day of conferences, teacher schedules will be posted outside their doors so that any families who walk-in can see when available times are. Following this new format, families will be asked to provide feedback on the structure in order to help inform future conferences.
